Annual British Red Cross Basingstoke under 15's Polo Event is being held at The Basingstoke Aquadrome, Leisure Park off Worting Road from 3 - 5pm with six teams of thirteen young swimmers taking part from all over the area to raise money for the charity. Why not spend a glorious summer's day riding through the beautiful countryside of North Hampshire to raise much needed funds for your local Hospice and take part in the Big Wheel 14 Bike Ride sponsored by Alberto-Culver and enjoy one of our three breathtaking routes of 7 miles, 24 miles and a truly testing 45 miles (designed for regular cyclists or those undertaking training). The cycle rides set off between 9:00am - 10:30am from Down Grange Sports Complex, Pack Lane, Basingstoke. Corporate Diamond Relay Event

A Fundraising Event for the upgrade of the Athletics Track at Down Grange takes place
at Basingstoke Memorial Park commencing at 10:30am. All teams must have six runners and will be competing for the Diamond Jubilee Trophy. There are also prizes for
the fastest female, mixed and veteran teams. Please note that all runners must be aged 16 or over, a mixed team must have no more than three of one sex, all members of a veterans team must be 40 years old or over on the day of the race. Each runner will follow a 1.7 mile circuit around the Memorial park before passing the baton onto the next runner. Each runner will receive a tee shirt & medal for completing the race. To take part, please complete a team registration form and return it with your entry fee of £60 for each team entered, made payable to Basingstoke & Mid Hants Athletic Club. The club will then write to you confirming receipt and entry. It would be great if the teams could raise sponsorship money but this is not mandatory. Closing date for applications - 7th Sept 2008.
