10 beautiful gardens in the village will be open to view by purchasing a ticket at the Village Hall at £5 per person, children free. Between 1pm and 5pm visit the gardens and see the craft displays, exhibition by local interest groups and societies with refreshments at the hall. All proceeds to St Leonard's Church and the Village Hall building and repair funds.

The 2nd Kempshott Guides will be running the Island Café and the event will finish with an hour of Barn Dancing. Tickets can be purchased on the day and the event will go ahead even if it rains as they have indoor arrangements. All proceeds go to Girlguiding Uk and its overseas branches together with partner charities from the “Changing the World” project.

Flower and Vegetable Show taks place at The Walled Garden, Down Grange, off Pack Lane, Basingstoke. There will be a 'Gardening Roadshow' part of the ITV/BBC open air event programme, and will be hosting a 'Gardener's Question Time'. There is an open competition to visitors where the prizes to be won at every show include lawn mower, wheelbarrrow, wellingtons, gardening gloves and 'goodie bags'. A number of local traders will have stalls offering creative arts, food, plants and lots of other interesting items. The Odiham Jazz Weekend at the Chalk Pit will feature vocalists Lee Gibson and Frank Holder on Saturday evening together with Richard Shepherd and the Dave Newton Trio who are also joined by Alan Barnes, Steve Waterman, Mark Nightingale, and more to perform straightahead jazz and bebop. Sunday lunchtime Jazz is definitely a family affair with the RAF providing an excellent BBQ (with a vegetarian option). The Phil Brown Swingtet and The Peter Clancy Band play traditional and mainstream jazz. A charity fundraiser, the proceeds will be divided equally between Odiham Cottage Hospital and Neurofibromatosis Association. Meeting from 10am - 12pm eight times a year you could be making cakes and learning loads as well. Costs are £5 for members and £6 for non-members. The Autumn Basingstoke NCT Nearly New Sale takes place at Basingstoke College of Technology, Lower Concourse North Site, Worting Road, Basingstoke, RG21 8TN. For directions we recommend you go to the BCOT website. Please be aware this is not a table top sale and seller registration is now closed. The wait list has also been closed. Admission for NCT members showing valid membership card from 2:00pm. Other buyers from 2.15-3.30pm. The hall has good access and there is lots of free parking. Admission is by donation to the NCT. Come along and treat yourself to some excellent bargains: maternity and children’s clothes up to age 7, toys and equipment.

Light Up the Hospice

This special evening, held in the grounds of St. Michael’s Hospice, brings together people from across North Hampshire for a moving and uplifting service featuring the Basingstoke Silver Band, with carols, music, and readings by staff, volunteers and families who have experienced the quality of care at the Hospice.
