Over one and a half thousand pounds worth of goods have been stolen from a house in Basingstoke .
The burglary happened on Friday the 4th of July while the owners of the property in Blackbird close slept.
Items taken included a flat screen TV, laptop, cash and credit cards.
Although break in's like this are rare, Basingstoke police are now urging residents to make sure they double lock their doors and windows, and keep valuables out of sight.

Nearly two thousand illegal novelty lighters have been seized in Hampshire.
The lighters are particularly dangerous because they look like toys, meaning they often fall into the hands of youngsters.
Every year there are around forty deaths as a result of children playing with unsafe lighters, therefore they were banned across Europe in March.
